Highest Krishi Vigyan Kendra to be opened at Nyoma,Leh
It will be the Nation's Highest Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) soon it will be established at Nyoma,Leh District of Jammu and Kashmir at height of about 14000 feet.
Government decided to setup KVK in this cold and dry place to encourage people of nearby area in which many of them are nomads.It is an challenge for government to setup and promote agriculture there.
KVK target will be to improve fodder production,care to roaming animal,introduction to vegetable production under protected environment and to motivate women for animal care.
