UNESCO Declared Six Forts Of Rajasthan For World heritage Status
Rajasthan will be splendid when UNESCO gives World Heritage Status to Six Forts of Rajasthan.On June 21,2013 UNESCO broadcasted this great news.
The Forts which are declared of World Heritage Status are:
1. Amber
2. Chittorgarh
3. Gangron
4. Jaisalmer
5. Kumbhalgarh
6. Ranthambore
All these forts are entitiled as serial cultural property in an acknowledgement by UNESCO.

After the selection of these six Forts at 37th meeting of the World Heritage Committee in Phnom Penh,Cambodia.Rajasthan State Tourism minister,Bina Kak was excited and happy,he added "It is a great moment for us".
Toursim Minister,Kak also adds that these forts would now receive international recognition.
Rejection During Last Year
Last year UNESCO rejected serial nomination of these forts last year.On this achievement Union Culture Minister Chandresh Kumari adds"India has been trying to get them inscribed on the list for the last two years and we are pleased it has been done".
