Tennis Swiss Star Roger Federer Wins ATP Tennis Finals
On June 16,2013 Roger Federer who is also known as the king of grass court won Gerry Weber Open Halle ATP final defeating Mikhail Youzhny of Russia by 6-7 (5/7),6-3,6-4 at the Gerry Weber Stadium in Halle ,Germany.
After Long Wait!
He passed 10 months and 11 tournaments without winning a single title.Federer win his first title in the year 2013 and sixth Halle title and 77th title of his career.
Youzhny,lost for the 15th time in a row against Federer.The Gerry Weber Open is one of five grass court events on the ATP World tour calendar.
Since the inaugural of Weber Open in 1993,five German winners had succeeded to win this title:
1. Michael Stich (1994)
2. Nicolas Kiefer (1999)
3. David Prinosil (2000)
4. Tommy Haas (2009&2012)
5. Philip Kohlschreiber(2011)
