18:- Avinash Chander appointed as new DRDO chief

Avinash Chander,man behind Agni series of missiles.On May 31,2013 he was appointed as new scientific adviser to the defense minister and Diretor-General of Defense Research and Development Organisation(DRDO).

He will also hold the post of secretary,department of defense research and development.Dr. Chander was recently awarded Padma Shri,he was behind the successful development of 5000KM range Agni-V.
