1:- India and Australia Boosts Point On Maritime Cooperation







India and Australia both agreed to hold joint naval exercise in 2015 to boost their defense cooperation to an upper level and support strategic partnership.

India's defense minister A.K. Antony and Australian counterpart Stephen Smith discussed shared strategic and security interests including maritime security and bilateral defense cooperation.

Both of them agreed for naval exchanges to build confidence between two navies and work towards a bilateral maritime exercise in 2015.

Mr Antony also accepted invitation form Mr. Stephen for Indian Naval Ships participation in the prestigious International Fleet Review(IFR) to be held in Sydney this October.
